Itinerary

Day 1 - FLORENCE
Arrival in Florence, meet our representative at the airport and transfer to Hotel. Check-in at the hotel, dinner and
overnight stay -
Day 2 - FLORENCE
Breakfast in the hotel.
Morning guided vist of Florence, including the Academia and the Duomo. Lunch at
traditional restaurant. Free afternoon for shopping or further sightseeing. Evening return to the hotel. Dinner and
overnight stay. -
Day 3 - VOLTERRA–SAN GIMIGNANO
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure for VOLTERRA, one of Tuscany’s most unusual cities. Guided tour of the
beautiful medieval town with its superb Priori Palace, home of the Art Museum. Visit to the Cathedral, the
Etruscan Museum, the Etruscan Arch and a walk along the majestic cliffs. Next stop, SAN GIMIGNANO.The massive towers rise high above this peaceful medieval town. Lunch in a traditional restaurant. Free afternoon to
visit the picturesque Cistern and Cathedral Squares: the Collegiata, Palace of the People with the Art Museum
and Saint Augustine’s. Late afternoon transfer to hotel in Siena *. Dinner and overnight stay -
Day 4 - SIENA
Breakfast at the hotel.
Guided visit of the city of Siena, including the Duomo the Palazzo Pubblico and the
Campo Square. Lunch at local restaurant. Free afternoon to continue to enjoy this beautiful town. Dinner and
overnight stay. -
Day 5 - SIENA - MONTALCINO - PIENZA - PERUGIA
Breakfast in Hotel.
Departure for Montalcino where there will be a wine tasting at a local and well-known vineyard.
There is time to appreciate the situation of the town before dining in a local restaurant. After lunch we move onto Pienza where there is free time to visit the shops selling the famous sheep cheese “Pecorino” .and to see the beauty of this the first planed renaissance towns. Depart for Perugia. Check-in at hotel*, diner and overnight stay.

Day 6 - PERUGIA - ASSISI
Breakfast at the hotel.
The town was one of the most powerful cities of the Etruscans. The gates of the city together with almost three kilometres of walls still surround its striking medieval core and its Renaissance beauties. Half-day guided tour of the city. Lunch in local restaurant. Afternoon depature for Assisi. Visit the Church of S.Damiano where St.Francis received his calling to enter a spiritual life and the move on to the upper part of the town to admire the views over this historic city. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 - PERUGIA - TODI– ORVIETO
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a guided tour of Todi, an undiscovered jewel of Umbria, with its striking church of Santa Maria Della Conciliazione. Lunch in a traditional restaurant with explanations of the dishes served. Head to Orvieto. Arrival in Orvieto and be amazed by its position and the stunning Cathedral which
dominates the town and you will understand why it is nicknamed the “Zebra Cathedral”. Check-in at hotel*,diner and overnight stay. -
Day 8 - ORVIETO - ROME
Depart Orvieto after breakfast in the hotel. Arrival and check-in to your Hotel. In Rome you can spend the day at leisure your tour manager will be able to assist you. Check-in at hotel, diner and overnight stay.

Day 9 - ROME - ROME AIRPORT
Breakfast in Hotel before departure for Fiumicino airport.
NOTE: that this tour has previous be run as a luxury tour with only four star and 5 stars accommodation although it can be achieved in lower category hotels. One such example of the change is that in Siena there is available accommodation in a historic country residence. In Perugia we would suggest the luxurious Brufani Hotel with whom we work consistently. In Orvieto there is also the availability of an ex-monastery 5 stars hotel but of course places are limited
